The agreement drew a thumbs-up from most analysts.
Parents have turned to classic brands like lego during the recession, which has boosted the Danish firm's position in the UK toy market to third.
"The continued strong growth in our classic product lines is particularly encouraging and suggests a demand among consumers for trusted quality, particularly in the current economic climate," said Marko Ilincic, managing director of Lego UK.
The company said that Lego City and Lego Star Wars remain best sellers.
Lego City includes towns, roads, train lines police and fire services all built using the brightly coloured building bricks.
Their latest line, Power Miners, exceeded sales expectations.
Lego has managed to buck= lancer une ruade the trend of weaker performance that has plagued the industry.
They are the only UK toy manufacturer in the top five to show sales growth so far this year.
Lego Group CEO Jorgen Vig Knudstorp said he was optimistic for the future but the company would not be complacent since holiday sales are pivotal for performance.

When Carl first makes a move on her, she tells him she isn't interested, however, he won't take 'no' for an answer and jumps to Chas's defence when Nathan later makes a play for her.
Chas is angry at the scene created by Carl, however, her mood changes when he tells her that he never loved Lexi and still has feelings for her.
His words do the trick and she ends up spending the night with him. Full of remorse the next morning, Chas tries to sneak home but finds herself caught out. Is it over for her and Paddy?

EastEnders
There's horror in EastEnders when a clash between Lucas and Trina results in his estranged wife's death.
The events unfold = se revelent after a dramatic week which starts with Trina turning up late/ for Jordan's birthday /and then /getting off her head on drugs/ and smashing his birthday present. She also swears never to give Lucas a divorce.
Trina returns the next day claiming she will disappear for good if Lucas gives her the money she desperately needs to buy more drugs. Lucas turns her down = refuse, however, Trina's claim that he still wants her does appear to strike some kind of chord within him.
Several days later the pair end up sleeping together and Lucas is wracked with guilt afterwards and faces the realisation that his relationship with Denise will be over if the truth comes out = parait.
When he meets Trina again there is an almighty = tout-puissant row and Trina dies. Does Lucas murder her?

There's tragedy for one Weatherfield resident this week when the police come knocking with news of a shock death.
Norris is the unlucky recipient =destinataire of the news and it concerns his brother Ramsay, who dies suddenly/ on his flight/ back to Australia.
The busybody= commere (gets the bombshell = bombe) while he is sulking = bouder at Emily's house as everyone else enjoys themselves at the street fete.
Norris initially (keeps the information to himself) as it slowly sinks in but is forced to tell Rita when she calls round to see if he is alright.
Rita and Emily are both devastated and the pair = pluriel soon turn on Norris because of the way he treated his brother when he was alive. Will Norris be forced to grieve = se désoler alone?
Also this week, Joshua is rushed to hospital after swallowing a bee and things hot up again between Kevin and Molly.

The Sixties star passed away on Sunday morning at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester. His friend Roger Backhouse, a retired QC, said: "It happened quickly. He was diagnosed with bone cancer.

Dee, 74, whose real name was Cyril Nicholas Henty-Dodd, became a bus driver and lived in Winchester after his television career ended. In his heyday -apogée he interviewed stars like Sammy Davis Jr, Lee Marvin, Bob Hope, Charlton Heston, and John Lennon on his twice-weekly chat show Dee Time.

His daughter Domino Henty-Dodd said her father was diagnosed weeks ago and could not be treated.
